JAY-Z has been spotted with all types of luxury watches over the years, but his latest timepiece might be his most striking yet.
While attending a screening of The Harder They Fall in Hollywood on Tuesday (December 14), Hov was seen wearing Tiffany & Co.’s new limited edition Patek Philippe Nautilus watch that just sold for $6.5 million at auction on Saturday (December 11) — the ninth-highest auction price for a watch ever.
CNBC reports the watch is set to retail for around $52,000, but the first one was sold for over 120 times its asking price due to demand outstripping supply. Only 170 limited edition Nautilus Ref. 5711′s will be made and sold, making JAY-Z one of the limited number of people to ever own one.

According to GQ, a source close to JAY-Z confirmed he wasn’t the buyer at auction, but the fact Hov and Beyoncé became the new faces of Tiffany & Co. in September may have something to do with it. The publication describes the watch as “the hottest watch on the planet.”
JAY-Z has a history of wearing watches worth millions of dollars. He previously wore a Patek Philippe worth $2.2 million at one of Diddy’s birthday parties; on another occasion, he flexed an even pricier Richard Mille that took 3,000 man-hours to make. In 2019, he also sent out $40,000 Rolex Daytonas in the form of party invites.

In August, Diddy took to his Instagram Stories to call Richard Mille watches “ugly” and told people to save their money.
“I’m not a hater though, I’m a connoisseur of fly shit,” he began. “But I’m just telling y’all you getting tricked by the Richard Mille. The Richard Mille is like a Timex or some shit like that. You understand what I’m saying? It’s not hot. I have like two or three. I never pull ’em out… they ugly.”
He added, “I don’t even wanna hate. I don’t even know Richard Mille. But fuck, I’m on some Black shit. Black man, save your money and go buy a house.”
