The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is Samsung’s most impressive and ambitious Android tablet to date. It’s the company’s first to bear the ‘Ultra’ brand, which is more than fitting given its specifications.
One of Samsung’s wildest claims regarding the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is that it can recharge its large 11,200mAh battery from 1% all the way up to 100% in only about 1 hour and 22 minutes. That is, using the official 45W charger.
With that in mind, you probably know what’s coming next. We tested the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra’s charging speeds to determine whether or not the tablet stays true to Samsung’s promise, and we’re sharing the process in a new video.
Yes, it can. We tested the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra’s charging capabilities using Samsung’s new EP-T4510 45W charger, which features Super Fast Charging 2.0.
Now, Samsung isn’t shipping the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra with any wall chargers, so you may end up using the same model as us, assuming you’ll want to maximize charging speeds. But is it worth it? It sure looks like it.

Battery recharge times can vary slightly based on environmental factors, such as room temperature. But regardless, the Tab S8 Ultra performs well within Samsung’s expectations and, therefore, ours. Check out the table for a 15-by-15-minute breakdown, and don’t forget to watch the full video below.
